Ash Wednesday – February 18. Dinner at 5:00/Worship at 6:20
Dinner is at 5:00 at the Common Table Cafe. Dinner is served in the Peace Gallery. A free will
offering for the simple, family-friendly meal is shared with our partner ministries in the greater
community. No contribution required.
Worship is at 6:20. For Ash Wednesday, it is a full traditional service with confession, ashes and
communion. To be clear, “confession” is a responsive reading that acknowledges we see the
problems in the world and want to do something to make the world better. Ashes and Holy
Communion are served to any who choose to come forward and receive them—participation is
inclusive (all are welcome) but not required. The Ash Wednesday service is designed to launch our
Living into Lent—into the heart of God’s hope for our lives and our world through death,
resurrection…and inclusive love for all.
