Junk Journaling Workshop (5-8th grade)

August 4 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Cost: $25 per session or $95 for four

This creative junk journaling workshop is designed for middle schoolers (5th–8th grade) to transform “trash” into a personal treasure. In this class, students will break away from the pressure of a blank white page and learn to see artistic potential in everyday scraps like old books, maps, ticket stubs and packaging.

All materials are provided, including a journal and “junk buffet” of vintage papers, stickers, and washi tape, though students are encouraged to bring their own sentimental scraps (like movie stubs or candy wrappers) to make it truly their own.  Students are also invited to bring their own water bottle and snack. Open to children going into 5-8th grades.

Class taught by Suzanne Sackett and will be held in either the Peace Makery or the Friendship Room.
