First Communion Preparation

The Welcome Table of Holy Communion is so wonderful every time we celebrate God’s holy meal together. Jesus does something in us, for us and around us to assure us of God’s constant presence, love and care for each of us. Jesus knew that it would be important for us to really experience God’s presence—so much so– that we get to taste God’s love in bread and wine or grape juice and experience it all in real time.

Understanding that schedules are busy, spring sports and practices are underway, and life is always exciting, I am offering four different options to prepare for first communion which will happen officially on Maundy Thursday, April 17, 2025 at the 6:15 worship service.   (Wednesday, April 9 at 5:30 for 30 minutes.  Sunday, April 13 at at 8:30 or 10:30 for 30 minutes.  Wednesday, April 16 at 5:30 PM)

In addition to the 30 minute session, each student will be given a small assignment to engage an adult in conversation about Holy Communion. That can be a parent, a baptismal sponsor, a grandparent, etc.
