Peace Public House – Soup Kitchen Suppers
Good Food. Good Conversation. Good Community.
Peace Public House is a place to gather, relax, share a simple meal, learn something new and engage in meaningful conversation. It’s an opportunity to connect with our neighbors and with one another around the table.
The goal is simple: come as you are, enjoy some good food, meet some good people and leave having learned something about the world around you.
Each Peace Public House gathering will feature a shared meal and a conversation with someone from our community who has a story, passion, experience or perspective to share. Sometimes we’ll learn about a local organization or business; sometimes a person, place or idea will be our focus. What matters most is creating space for community, curiosity and connection.
Everyone is welcome. You don’t need to be a member of Peace to join us.
Based on participation, Peace Public House hopes to gather once a month on Sundays. Check back here for details about our next supper—we’d love to have you join us!
Peace Public House: Kitchen Supper #1
We’re kicking off Peace Public House in the Peace Gallery – featuring our newly remodeled Peace Kitchen – with a special supper featuring our agricultural neighbors, Nic and Betsy Staple of Cellanie Farms.
The Evening
5:30 PM — Dinner
Gather around the table and enjoy a simple supper of soups, a variety of breads and dessert. Gluten-free and vegetarian options will be available. Water and other bottled beverages, including wine and beer, will also be served.
6:15 PM — Cellanie Farms
Nic and Betsy Staple will share the story of Cellanie Farms—how it began, its mission and their hopes for the local community and access to fresh, healthy food.
Of course, there will be plenty of time for conversation and getting to know one another, too.
Come & Contribute
Everyone is welcome, and bringing something is completely optional! Sign up to let us know you’re coming and, if you’d like, what you might like to contribute to the meal. You can also make a free-will financial offering if you prefer. You may also RSVP by contacting the church office at 608.849.7322 / peace@explorepeace.org.
There’s no expectation beyond showing up, sharing a meal and being part of the conversation.
Come hungry. Come curious. Come connect.
