Whether your child loves exploring art in the sunshine or wants to turn everyday materials into something meaningful, these summer opportunities provide a fun, welcoming space to create, connect, and grow.
| Art Adventure Class: K-4th grade June 23, 25, 30 & July 2, 2026 12 noon – 2 p.m. Cost: $100 Register HERE! “Every child is an artist!” -Pablo Picasso Warm summer days and outdoor exploration combined with creative arts programming – what could be a more positive experience for children ages Kindergarten through 4th grade? This summer we are offering a series of 4 classes that can provide your child with just that experience. Children will arrive at noon bringing a packed lunch and eat together as a group. From there they will participate in hands-on art projects including paint, collage, fabric, nature art, watercolor, and more! Following the art experiences, children will enjoy outdoor activities.Students will learn a variety of new artistic techniques and vocabulary words, adding to their overall creative development – in addition to having fun just getting “messy!” Open to children going into Kindergarten through 4th grade. | Junk Journaling Workshop 5-8th grade July 28 and 30, Aug. 4 and 6 1-2:30 p.m. Cost: $25 per session or $95 for all four Register HERE! This creative junk journaling workshop is designed for middle schoolers (going into 5th–8th grade) to transform “trash” into a personal treasure. In this class, students will break away from the pressure of a blank white page and learn to see artistic potential in everyday scraps like old books, maps, ticket stubs and packaging. All materials are provided, including a journal and “junk buffet” of vintage papers, stickers, and washi tape, though students are encouraged to bring their own sentimental scraps (like movie stubs or candy wrappers) to make it truly their own. Students are also invited to bring their own water bottle and snack. The class taught by Suzanne Sackett and will be held in either the Peace Makery or the Friendship Room. Questions?
