Amy Thole, a youth leader at Peace for many years, is partnering with St. Luke’s Lutheran Church on their mission trip to Colorado.  Because of that, St. Luke’s has extended an invitation to our Peace high school youth to join in the adventure.

Colorado Mission Trip, July 20-26

St. Luke’s signature, senior high mission trip will be venturing to Colorado this summer! We’ll be staying at Abiding Hope Lutheran Church, ELCA in Littleton and working with one of their pastors to help us do mission work in the greater Denver area. The biggest change this year? There’s no long bus ride! We’re going by planes, trains, and automobiles! We’ll experience what it’s like to ride in coach overnight on an Amtrak train from Chicago to Denver, do some service work in a new community a mile high in the sky, explore the eastern edge of the Rocky Mountains, see a different side of public transit by flying back to Chicago non-stop, and then drive back to Middleton before the week is up.

Base registration is $700, including a $150 non-refundable deposit, and excluding a recommended minimum spending money allotment of $50. Deposit is due with registration, and the remainder is collected separately, no later than Saturday, May 31. (Preferable as soon as possible—so that there is space available).
