DESCRIPTION:Variety Show:  It’ll be our 23rd Variety Show! This year’s theme is … DISNEY! Peace members and their friends and family along with many of our musical groups\, sign up to sing\, dance\, play an instrument\, perform a skit or share whatever creative ‘talents’ they may have. \nSilent Auction:  Following the Variety Show each year\, the Silent Auction at Peace is a don’t miss! Baskets and items are donated by Peace families and local businesses as a way to raise money for Peace ministries and a designated outreach.   Baskets and items small and large\, ranging in value from $5 to $500 are on display and ready for bidding in the Gallery.  There is also “Kids Only” section for children to purchase tickets for a chance to win one of the ‘kiddos-only’ items. \nTo date\, the Variety Show and Silent Auction have raised over $96\,000 to support Peace ministries and outreach. \nCome along. You won’t be wrong. It’s fun … we guarantee!  V.A.R.I.E.T.Y. the Variety Show at Peace!

In this class\, students will break away from the pressure of a blank white page and learn to see artistic potential in everyday scraps like old books\, maps\, ticket stubs and packaging. \nAll materials are provided\, including a journal and “junk buffet” of vintage papers\, stickers\, and washi tape\, though students are encouraged to bring their own sentimental scraps (like movie stubs or candy wrappers) to make it truly their own.  Students are also invited to bring their own water bottle and snack. Open to children going into 5-8th grades. \nClass taught by Suzanne Sackett and will be held in either the Peace Makery or the Friendship Room.
